Have you ever felt lost for words and pondered what topics to discuss on your blog site? Well, instead of feeling confused, your time could be spent on improving your writing skills. The best way to get rolling again is to focus on your blog headlines. Concentrate on creating a headline formula and do some research. Learn how to create headlines that make people want to click on your blog site.

Do this project on a weekly basis and before long, you will have created plenty of ideas for your headlines and therefore, articles to discuss on your blog. Surf the internet for information and read books on how to write great headlines.

Build a keyword file and list keywords that are related to your blog site. Write a headline and include a few of your keywords. Next, use your keywords throughout your article. For instance, the word “blog” is included in the headline of this article. The first paragraph shows the word “blog” three times, and the second paragraph shows the word “blog” once. Count how many times you see the word “blog” in the next paragraph. Okay, you’re starting to get the idea.

Now, before you get carried away including keywords throughout your articles, make sure you are showing top-ranking keywords. We used Wordtracker – a free keyword tool, to search for the word “blog” and their reports show an estimated total of 1,775 daily searches.

Don’t forget to include top-ranking keywords in your “tags” and “meta-tag” for each article that you write and submit your articles to search engines. This simple step will help boost the ranking and traffic to your blog site.

I’ve been following an interesting thread of conversation on a writing message board: a debate as to whether or not the practice of writing fiction novel is healthy for an aspiring writer.

By definition: “fiction novels” are stories involving characters from a television series or movie, written by fans and usually printed in underground magazines or on the Internet for other fans to enjoy. This concept is especially popular among fans of science fiction programs, and writers of all skill levels participate. For the serious fiction novel writer, there are even science-fiction conventions which present annual awards for the best-written prose. Stories may range from histories explaining gaps in a particular TV show’s canon (e.g. what has the cast of House been up to between seasons one and two?) to rather silly missives—I once found on the Internet a Star Trek story where all of the characters had been replaced by the cast of Desperate Housewives!

Is fiction novel a healthy exercise? For one, it technically is not a legal exercise, as all television and movie characters are protected by copyright. As the novel’s novel is basically a non-profit enterprises, however, most manufacturers often turn a blind eye to the activities. Rene Balcer, an executive producer of the show Law and Order, once told a fan e-zine that he did not mind the fiction novel based upon his show, and this appears to be the general consensus so long as a writer does not try to sell his/her work.

CON – I’ll try not to stereotype fiction novel readers, but if you have ever visited an online repository of fiction novel download you may notice a majority of stories not only portray scenes people would like to see on their favorite shows, but scenes even HBO won’t show after eleven at night. Some people may think that writing fiction is not fiction writer’s self, but what time is definitely not good if you are the boss at work and see you! I do write romance that is spicy, but there are lines even I won’t cross.
